As an Associate Planner, you’ll help drive the financial success of the business by creating, managing, and analyzing plans that balance sales, margin, and inventory goals, with the support of your manager. You’ll work closely with Merchandising and Allocation to turn data into actionable strategies, supporting the team through insightful analysis, forecasting, and collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys using both analytical and creative thinking to impact business results.

Responsibilities:

Preseason

  • Partner with manager to build preseason sales, margin, and inventory plans by department and class using historical data and current trend insights
  • Build bottoms-up style plan, in partnership with Merchandising
  • Summarize opportunities and risks in product and financial plans, incorporating key metrics such as markup, average unit cost, and margin rate
  • Present financial plans and recommendations to cross-functional partners and leadership

In Season

  • Provide weekly updates on sales, margin, and inventory performance versus forecast at both a high level and style level
  • Partner with Merchandising, Allocation, and Assortment Planning to make data-driven decisions that optimize product flow, pricing, and receipt management
  • Prepare in-season forecasts and participate in monthly OTB meetings
  • Analyze sell-through and inventory-to-sales ratios, proposing pricing and promotional actions to maximize profitability

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in planning, allocation, merchandising, or business analytics
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and proactive team player with a strong sense of accountability

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-channel retail environment (stores, e-commerce, or wholesale)
  • Familiarity with planning systems (e.g., MAP, o9, Power BI, or similar analytical tool)
