the posting

At Paulig, we believe every meal, cup, and moment should be full of flavour, and that bold ideas can make the world a tastier, more sustainable place. As a house of iconic brands, we can make an impact that counts, and careers that matter.

Now we’re looking for a temporary Associate Product Developer to join our passionate R&D team within Mixing & Spices. You will help develop the flavour and functionality of Paulig’s future products while supporting the performance of our existing portfolio.

This temporary position starts in November 2026 and ends on 30 April 2027. You will be based in Mölndal, Sweden, and report to the Head of R&D Mixing & Spices.

Your role in the blend

As Associate Product Developer, you will support our product developers throughout the product development process, from early ideas and kitchen samples to large-scale production and product launches.

Your work will include new product development as well as changes to existing recipes, with a focus on functionality, sensory qualities and the consumer and customer experience. You will work in a project-driven, cross-functional environment alongside colleagues with expertise in taste, spices and powders.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform ingredient and product testing, benchmarking, quality reviews and test runs.
  • Support the development and adjustment of recipes and functional properties for new and existing products.
  • Evaluate and describe the sensory properties of products, lead test panels, and prepare and conduct tests using our sensory evaluation programme, EyeQuestion.
  • Maintain accurate product information in our product data management systems and ensure that food safety and legal requirements are followed.
  • Explore trends, research, technologies and ingredients relevant to product development, while supporting sustainability initiatives and the preparation of training materials for relevant stakeholders.

Your key ingredients

You are highly motivated, detail-oriented and curious, with a scientific approach and a genuine passion for food. You enjoy combining creativity with analysis and are comfortable organising and prioritising your work independently.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

  • A university degree in food technology, biotechnology or a similar field.
  • Experience in product development within the food industry and/or sensory evaluation.
  • An analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage and interpret data.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, and an interest in working with international and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English.

The flavours we bring

Working at Paulig, a family-owned company, means being part of an international community with bold ambitions and an inclusive growth culture.

We offer:

  • A purpose-driven workplace – contribute to products that create flavourful food moments for consumers and customers.
  • Continuous learning – develop your knowledge of product development, sensory evaluation, ingredients and food technology.
  • A passionate, international team – work alongside colleagues who share a strong interest in food, flavour and innovation.
  • A future-oriented environment – contribute to projects that combine consumer needs, product functionality, food safety and sustainability.

Interested?

Join us on our journey to build a flavourful and more sustainable future. We look forward to receiving your application as soon as possible, but no later than 30 October 2026.

We review applications continuously and may begin interviewing before the closing date, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
