You should be an experienced and industry professional who has the ability to understand IT and compliance processes, evaluate opportunities for improvement, and to be able to drive innovative campaigns through multiple organizations and teams.
- Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a primary owner of assurance engagement delivery — owning specific domains, control families, or full engagements — across third-party certifications (e.g., SOC, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, C5, IRAP), customer assurance programs, and regulatory examinations
Drive and support engagement activities — including auditor negotiation, evidence delivery, and stakeholder coordination — with excellent project management skills
Communicate with team leads on the status and key deliverables of team initiatives, seek diverse opinions and coordinate improvement efforts
Field and address requests for team support in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Dive deep into the operations of AWS compliance programs to develop broad domain and technical understanding of regulatory and customer expectations to drive process improvement initiatives
Independently assess and satisfy compliance requirements
Develop reusable artifacts, propose automation opportunities, and contribute to organizational scalability
- A day in the life
- Lead assurance engagements articulating AWS security control design and operational effectiveness to diverse stakeholders across third-party, customer, and regulatory programs spanning multiple regions and regulatory environments
Make diligent decisions on regulatory and auditor engagement approaches with minimal oversight, iterating on mechanisms to scale for diverse customer requirements
Analyze compliance impact of new regulations and customer requirements, developing strategies across-functional teams
Support delivery of presentations and technical documentation to regulatory bodies, customers, and internal leadership to drive alignment on security compliance strategies
Define business problems, set objectives, and influence resource allocation to drive security assurance improvements and operational excellence
Independently research, understand AWS services and control-relevant architecture
