ABOUT THE COMPANY

This organization is not your typical financial institution. They're an independent trust company built on relationships, not transactions. Their mission is to help individuals and families preserve and grow their wealth with integrity, transparency, and a deeply personal touch. They serve clients across Southwest Florida and beyond, offering investment management, trust, and estate services with a boutique feel and institutional strength. Their team is close-knit, community-minded, and committed to doing right by their clients—and each other.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Business Development Associate, you will play an integral role in building a consistent, scalable business development function across the firm. You will partner with leadership and teams across the organization to streamline the sales process, improve efficiency and accountability, standardize prospecting materials, and help build the infrastructure, tools, and reporting needed to support sustainable growth. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Help design, document, and continuously improve a company-wide business development and sales process

Coordinate business development activity across the department and offices to promote consistent processes, clear ownership, and efficient prospect experience

Develop standardized templates, presentations, pitch materials, capability overviews, meeting preparation materials, follow-up communications, and other prospecting resources in partnership with subject matter experts

Create and maintain a centralized library of approved business development and prospecting materials so teams can easily access current, consistent content

Identify process bottlenecks, duplicative work, and administrative inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements, automation opportunities, and standardized workflows

Prepare pipeline reports, activity summaries, dashboards, and other business development metrics for leadership review

Support prospect research, meeting preparation, proposal development, follow-up coordination, and other activities that help move opportunities through the sales process

Support the development of department procedures, playbooks, training resources, onboarding materials, and best practices as the business development function expands

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

Minimum three (3) years of experience in business development, sales operations, relationship management, marketing, financial services, or a related professional services environment

Demonstrated ability to organize and improve processes, workflows, and systems across multiple markets

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear, polished, client- and prospect-facing materials

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up items

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience working with CRM systems

Ability to work collaboratively across markets, build consensus, and follow through on initiatives with limited oversight

Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a service-oriented mindset in a regulated and relationship-driven environment

Nice-to-Haves:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, communications, or a related field

Experience with CRM administration, sales enablement, pipeline reporting, workflow automation, or business intelligence tools

Experience developing sales playbooks, standardized collateral, proposal materials, or business development training resources
