We are seeking a talented individual to join our Innovation & Data Organization (IDO) team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai, India. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
The Business Operations & Architecture Lead sits within the IDO team and plays a critical role in helping Marsh businesses modernize how work gets done. This role partners with business leaders on demand to identify opportunities to improve operating models, simplify processes, enable data ingestion, and scale automation and AI-driven ways of working.
As a trusted business architect and transformation partner, you will help translate strategic priorities into practical, scalable solutions that improve performance, reduce friction, and create measurable business value.
We will count on you to:
- Lead the design and evolution of target operating models, business processes, and ways of working that are fit for the future.
- Identify, shape, and deliver opportunities to simplify workflows, improve data ingestion, and enable automation and AI-assisted execution.
- Apply business architecture, process engineering, and systems thinking to solve complex operational challenges.
- Partner with business leaders, data teams, technology teams, and change partners to turn strategy into executable solutions.
- Establish clear design standards, metrics, and performance measures to track adoption, impact, and value realization.
- Build reusable frameworks, playbooks, and improvement approaches that can be scaled across business areas.
- Influence senior stakeholders with clear, evidence-based recommendations and practical implementation pathways.
- Support change adoption so that new processes, tools, and operating models are embraced and sustained.
What you need to have:
- 15+ years of experience in business architecture, process improvement, transformation, or enterprise design.
- Strong experience designing or improving operating models, workflows, or service delivery models in a complex organization.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into data-enabled, technology-supported solutions.
- Experience working across business, operations, data, and technology stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
- Experience with automation, AI-enabled solutions, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, systems design, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or a consulting environment is highly valued.
