Fresh Start Foods Canada Ltd was founded in 1993 to provide Foodservice Customers with a fresh alternative. Fresh Start Foods is currently hiring Full-Time (Permanent) Food Processing Team Members who are eager to work in a fast paced team oriented work environment at our Milton, Ontario location.

Position: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: $19/h - Weekly Pay

Schedule: Sun-Friday, Saturdays off and one day off during the week

Hours: 8am-5pm (Sunday are Mandatory)

Responsibilities:

• •Support and work closely with the Sales Team to meet customers’ needs for new product development
• •Prep and cook as needed to support testing and presentation needs for customers and at events

Stay current with industry and culinary trends, with a view to sourcing and/or developing new products

Design and maintain a cost analysis system to recognize and quantify development costs; create a system for budgeting new products profitability

Coordinate internal item set up with all related departments

Design and maintain an ongoing tracking system to measure new product sales and profitability

• •Create and develop a system to review new products quarterly and systematically review items for SKU rationalization to support our strategic growth
• •Successfully bring a determined amount of new products to market annually
• •Innovative product development and seasonal item creation in line with our capabilities and capacities
• •Performs other duties and project management and company related duties as required.

Requirements:

• •Strong culinary knowledge and skill; safe food handling practices; self motivated, creative and detail oriented
• •Experience in the food service or retail industry, ideally with previous product development and project management experience
• •Ability to develop creative food solutions
• •Exceptional customer service skills
• •Ability to communicate in writing and verbally; and skill in presentation creation, engagement and delivery
• •Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects
• •Strong business acumen and understanding of restaurant operations
• •Proven ability to deliver results and facilitate a collaborative environment
• •Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Food Safety standards in a Manufacturing environment
