• Job Summary
• Automation Testing Engineer plays critical role by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively with development teams to identify defects, improve processes, and deliver high-quality products efficiently.
• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation.
• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Identify opportunities to enhance test automation frameworks and increase test coverage.
• Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain and update existing test scripts as applications evolve.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in test automation.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation.
• Document testing procedures and results for compliance and knowledge sharing.
• Required Skills
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as, Python, JavaScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good to Have Skills
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (, Azure,).
• Experience with security testing and related tools.
• Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, or similar) is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
