Job Summary

Help us deliver the beverages Kansas celebrates with. Crown Distributors, a family-owned distributor, keeps Northeast Kansas supplied with the beer, beverage, and non-alcoholic brands retail accounts depend on. We're hiring a Delivery Supervisor to lead a team of Delivery Drivers and Delivery Trainees out of our Topeka facility. This is a leadership role that runs from the dock and the cab, not a desk. You run daily dispatch, ride with your drivers, adjust the day when weather or absences hit, and step onto a route yourself when the team needs it. You're the one making sure every truck rolls out ready and every account gets the right product, on time, safely.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Team: Run daily dispatch and lead your team of Delivery Drivers and Delivery Trainees to on-time, accurate, safe deliveries.
  • Ride-Alongs and Coaching: Ride with your drivers regularly, review safety events with them, and coach to the standard.
  • Adjusting the Day: Work with Routing on daily route assignments and reroute for weather, absences, and last-minute customer requests.
  • Stepping In: Run a route yourself when the team needs coverage.
  • Road-Ready Fleet: Work with Fleet & Facilities on maintenance and inspection follow-up so every truck rolls out ready.
  • Closing the Day: Close out route issues and customer escalations with each driver, and report results to the Delivery Manager.
  • People Management: Partner with the Delivery Manager and HR on hiring, coaching, and corrective action for your team.
  • Customer Relationships: Own same-day customer escalations and work with the sales team on account needs.

Rewards

  • Pay: $61,000-$70,000 per year
  • Bi-weekly pay, plus on-demand pay available through Paylocity.
  • 10 days of paid vacation to start, accrued as you work, plus paid holidays.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) with company match.
  • Room to grow into delivery management.

To Apply

Apply online through this posting or walk into our Topeka facility during business hours to fill out an application (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Every application gets reviewed. If we think you would be a good fit, we will reach out to schedule an interview. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older (federal requirement for interstate commercial driving).
  • Valid Class A CDL, current DOT medical card, and a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a lead driver, delivery supervisor, military team lead, or equivalent leadership experience; DSD or beverage distribution experience a plus.
  • Comfortable learning route planning and telematics software (training provided).
  • Ability to lift 30-pound cases repetitively and regularly handle kegs weighing up to 160 pounds when supporting drivers.
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully completing applicable background screenings, a post-offer physical examination, and drug screening consistent with company policy and applicable law.
  • Crown Distributors is Kansas's family-owned beverage distributor. We deliver leading beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages to retailers across Northeast Kansas.
  • Crown Distributors is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law. Crown Distributors is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities throughout the application and employment process.
