What you'll do here:

As a member of the Higher Education Editorial and Learning Team, you will play a key role in crafting impactful higher education learning materials and experiences. These will align with Cengage’s strategic vision and meet evolving customer needs.

You will:

  • Lead the team’s competitive intelligence gathering and content evaluation activities, collaborating with key partners to interpret findings into strategic recommendations and actionable insights.
  • Drive content ideation with authors, subject-matter experts, and industry partners on select projects—grounded in market insights, emerging trends, currency needs, and in alignment with Editorial Manager priorities.
  • Develop and maintain strategic documentation, content tracking, and an author talent database that support strong program execution.
  • Build and update competitive benchmarks to inform editorial strategy and decision-making.
  • Serve as key contact for customer-reported content-related blocking issues, partnering cross-functionally to ensure timely and effective resolution.

  • Demonstrable higher-order critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Strong project-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and consistently deliver high-quality results
  • Excellent organizational skills that support operational excellence
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally to advance shared goals
  • Intellectually curious, adaptable, with an attitude of embracing challenges and improvement
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, CRM and applied AI tools a plus.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, showing a strong progression in scope, ownership, and responsibility

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$17.00 - $22.00 USD
