Electrical Technician

As an Electrical Technician (ATEX & Heat Trace Inspections) working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the Semiconductor sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing commissioning and decommissioning of heat trace systems.

Responsibilities:

Conduct ATEX Inspections on new electrical and mechanical installations and verify correct installation against design documents.

Conduct ATEX inspections (maintenance) on existing electrical and mechanical installations and complete inspection records for same.

Generate detailed reports for any issues found and present, along with suggested remediation works, to management.

Update trackers and generate associated metrics to give a visualisation of progress versus schedule.

Generation and execution of both commissioning and decommissioning documentation to support new installations or remove existing installations for both ATEX and Heat Trace systems.

Carry out scheduled maintenance on existing heat trace installations when required.

Update heat trace panel schedules.

Support fault-finding activities when required.

Working in a cross-functional team of skilled Technicians

Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

Experience completing ATEX inspections is an advantage but not required – Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Excellent PC skills.

Ability to read electrical/P&ID drawings.

Ability to remain calm and focused when dealing with multiple tasks.

Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivated.

Must have strong documentation skills.

Education / Licenses / Certifications:

Trade Qualified Electrician with 5+ Years’ experience.

Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
