McCready Law is expanding its Missouri practice and is looking for an experienced personal injury attorney who is ready to take ownership of an established caseload and practice with the support of a growing, well-resourced firm.

The Opportunity

This is a primarily remote position based in the St. Louis market. You will step into an existing caseload consisting of both pre-litigation and litigation matters. You will not be expected to build a book of business in order to succeed here.

We provide the cases, support, systems, and resources. We are looking for an attorney who will take ownership of the matters assigned to them, communicate with clients, make sound decisions, move cases forward, and ask for help when appropriate.

While your normal workday may primarily be remote, in-person attendance will be required when the practice calls for it, including court appearances, depositions, mediations, trials, significant client matters, and occasional Firm meetings.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your experience and caseload, responsibilities may include:

• •Evaluate liability, damages, and case value
• •Develop case strategy
• •Communicate directly with clients
• •Review medical records and damages
• •Prepare and evaluate demands
• •Negotiate with insurance carriers
• •File and manage lawsuits
• •Handle written discovery
• •Take and defend depositions
• •Participate in mediations
• •Handle motion practice
• •Work with experts
• •Prepare cases for trial
• •Try cases when appropriate
• •Work effectively with case managers, paralegals, and other support professionals

Compensation

This position is designed for an experienced attorney, and compensation will reflect experience, demonstrated production, litigation capability, and the responsibilities of the individual selected.

Compensation Range: $165,000 - $250,000 - bonus eligible

Our attorney compensation structure also includes opportunities for significant performance-based compensation. Attorneys who generate cases may qualify for additional referral compensation under the Firm’s attorney referral program.

What We’re Looking For

This is not an entry-level attorney position.

Required:

• •Active Missouri law license
• •Experience independently handling personal injury matters
• •Strong client communication and organizational skills
• •Ability to take ownership of an active caseload

Preferred:

• •Plaintiff personal injury experience
• •Experience with both pre-litigation and litigation
• •Deposition, mediation, motion practice, and trial experience
