Description
The Paramount Group is hiring a full-time Facilities Supervisor to keep our headquarters clean, safe, and guest-ready. Reporting to our VP of Operations or Senior Operations Manager, this hands-on role will inspect and maintain our spaces, complete routine repairs, lead the daily cleaning team, and manage outside vendors. We believe life's best moments happen around the table, and the condition of our spaces is part of every guest's experience. This role ensures that every area is clean, safe, and set to our standards for our team members and guests.
Requirements
- Walk the building each day, including offices, private dining rooms, event spaces, patio, and grounds, to make sure everything is set to our standards and the previous evening's work is up to par
- Catch imperfections before guests do: scuffs, paint touch-ups, loose fixtures, burned-out bulbs, lighting settings, and candles in our private rooms
- Keep our plants, planters, and patio furniture thriving, and lend a hand in our on-site greenhouse when projects come up
- Keep walkways, curbs, and outdoor spaces clean and safe, placing anti-slip mats and preparing the building for changing weather
- Meet with cleaning team daily at 5pm and delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks, and assign or complete maintenance orders
- Keep our catering storerooms clean, organized, and securely locked; touch up inventory with paint, flag repairs, and communicate when items need to be reordered
- Perform routine maintenance and make repairs as needed, from patching drywall and tightening hardware to swapping filters and changing bulbs
- Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Verify that locks and workplace security measures are in working order
- Check fire extinguisher dates and arrange service before they expire
- Meet with our pest control representative and share operational feedback with department heads
- Keep logs, checklists, and maintenance schedules, and report on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences to leadership and relevant team members
- Collaborate with upper management on the facilities budget
- Support our warehouse team on busy days with organization, inventory, and full-service event pack-outs
- Participate in monthly inventory as assigned
- Take on special projects for company leadership, as assigned
Skills and qualifications:
- Detail-oriented: you notice and correct problems others overlook
- Mechanically skilled, with working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems, and proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Highly organized, with a system for logs, checklists, and maintenance schedules
- A clear, friendly communicator who can talk with everyone from guests and vendors to team members at every level
- A self-starter who manages time well, prioritizes calmly, and solves problems efficiently without needing someone over your shoulder
- Comfortable leading a team, and committed to keeping the facility working well
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and to stand and move for extended periods while working on projects
- Ability to drive with a valid drivers license
Hours:
Tuesday through Saturdays approx. 8:00am to 5:30 pm , Sundays/Mondays – as needed
Compensation:
- This is a full-time role (hourly nonexempt at $25-28/hr at 40hrs per week; or salary exempt at $60,000-$65,000/yr at 45-50 hours per week, depending on experience)
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(K) after 1 year of employment
- Paid time off and sick leave
- Daily meal provided
- Free parking
- Snack and beverage bar
