We are currently seeking an exceptional professional to join us as a Financial Controller.

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to oversee accounting, financial reporting, controllership, and compliance activities for our Malaysia Shared Service Center (SSC). This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring financial integrity, strong governance, and operational excellence across multiple countries within the RoW region.

This is an on-site position based in Johor.

Responsibilities:

• •Lead accounting, financial reporting, and controllership activities for the Malaysia SSC.
• •Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• •Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory requirements, and company accounting policies.
• •Maintain balance sheet integrity, financial statement quality, and a strong internal control environment.
• •Manage statutory reporting, external audits, and regulatory compliance across the region.
• •Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, FP&A, Operations, HR, and IT teams on key business initiatives.
• •Lead, mentor, and develop the Malaysia SSC finance team.
• •Drive process standardization, continuous improvement, and finance transformation initiatives.
• •Support ERP enhancements, reporting tools, and automation projects across the RoW organization.

Requirements:

• •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• •Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• •7+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or controllership experience.
• •Proven leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams.
• •Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, statutory reporting, and internal controls.
• •Experience working across multiple countries, legal entities, and shared service center environments.
• •Experience leading process improvement, finance transformation, or system implementation initiatives.
• •Experience with ERP and financial consolidation systems (JDE, OneStream, GEAC, or equivalent).
• •Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• •Fluent English language skills. Mandarin language skill is a nice to have.
