FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL.

Duties

• •You will advise customers regarding Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Regulations and associated directives and policies.
• •You will explain policies and procedures (e.g., enterprise resource planning [ERP], funds allocation, funds status, management controls, financial improvement and audit readiness [FIAR] controls) impacting a programming and budget organization.
• •You will respond to external audits (e.g., Financial Management Board [FMB], General Accounting Office [GAO]) of financial management policies, procedures, and accounting records regarding plant, property, material, or equipment.
• •You will evaluate methods and techniques to resolve problems related to the implementation of the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
• •You will identify problems using a variety of financial management systems.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing or advising on work in any of the phases of inventory of plant and minor property. 2) Managing and tracking an inventory of value and pilferable items utilizing an automated inventory tracking program and a bar code system. 3) Preparing guidance prescribing local practices and procedures necessary to remove property from government records and hold individuals financially accountable. 4) Scheduling and coordinating required inventories. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Procuring goods/services on behalf of the command and maintaining all procurement files and documentation for current and prior fiscal years; 2) Maintaining and updating all relative publications and standard operating procedure. 3) Assisting with recurring training of Directorate Purchase Request personnel/administrators. 4) Maintaining an inventory tracking program and providing advice/guidance/training to directorates in regard to the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). Education
