FINOps Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize infrastructure costs across cloud and on-premise environments.

Develop and maintain TCO, ROI, budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance models.

Analyze workload placement strategies (cloud vs. on-premise) and provide cost optimization recommendations.

Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives including rightsizing, waste reduction, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cloud commitments.

Calculate and benchmark infrastructure unit economics such as cost per vCPU, storage, and compute utilization.

Support annual budgeting, forecasting, hardware refresh planning, and software licensing renewals.

Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, and Procurement teams to improve cost visibility and accountability.

Develop dashboards and reporting for infrastructure spending, utilization, and optimization opportunities.

Support vendor evaluations, contract reviews, RFP processes, and financial due diligence activities.

Ensure compliance with governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
