Job summary:

This is a newly created management position combining corporate development and financial planning & analysis for Integrity’s Wealth division. It exists because acquisition volume in the Wealth business has outgrown the capacity of the current FP&A team, and because underwriting an advisory practice requires transaction skills that a traditional FP&A hire is not recruited for. The role is scoped at the manager level because it owns deal workstreams end to end, represents the division directly to sellers and advisors, and carries responsibility for developing analyst talent.

The role carries a defined split of responsibility. Approximately 50% is M&A and corporate development: acquisition modeling, model audit, pipeline management, valuation benchmarking, and direct seller and advisor engagement. The balance is financial planning, analysis, and wealth management strategy, covering budgeting, forecasting, KPI and Board reporting, and competitive and market intelligence.

Let’s talk job responsibilities:

Transaction modeling and analysis

Builds and maintains buy-side acquisition models for wealth management and advisory firms, including purchase price allocation, sources and uses, earnout and contingent consideration structures, equity rollover, and pro forma consolidation.

Audits and rebuilds seller-provided models and adjusted EBITDA bridges; reconciles management projections to quality of earnings findings and normalizes for owner compensation, non-recurring items, and revenue recognition differences.

Produces accretion/dilution, IRR, MOIC, DCF, and payback analyses supporting investment committee recommendations, including the drivers and sensitivities behind each.

Models advisor recruitment and transition assistance economics, including forgivable note structures and payback analysis.

Valuation and capital markets

Develops and maintains valuation benchmarks by tracking comparable transaction multiples across the wealth management, RIA, and broker-dealer landscape, drawing on public comparables, precedent transactions, and private market data.

Monitors cost of capital, credit market conditions, and prevailing deal structures, and advises on how shifting conditions should inform bid strategy and offer construction.

Pipeline management and deal execution

Owns the acquisition pipeline tracker, including deal stage, target metrics (AUM, revenue mix, advisor headcount, growth rate), valuation ranges, probability weighting, and expected close timing; produces recurring pipeline reporting for leadership.

Prepares indicative offers, LOI economics, term sheet summaries, and management presentations.

Coordinates diligence workstreams across finance, legal, compliance, and operations; synthesizes findings into risk and opportunity summaries for decision makers.

Tracks post-close performance against underwriting assumptions, root-causes variances, and applies findings to subsequent deal models.

Business development and counterparty engagement

Participates directly in calls with prospective sellers, advisor teams, and intermediaries, presenting the firm’s value proposition, walking through indicative economics, fielding diligence questions, and maintaining relationships across the deal cycle.

Communicates complex financial concepts credibly to non-financial audiences, including advisors and firm principals.

Team leadership and development

Manages, trains, and develops a team of FP&A Analysts, fostering high performance and accountability.

Assigns and reviews analyst work across both the planning calendar and active deal workstreams, balancing recurring deliverables against transaction deadlines.

Reviews analyst-built models and reporting for accuracy and defensibility before they reach leadership or the investment committee.

Builds analyst capability in transaction modeling and valuation, raising the team’s baseline deal fluency over time.

Financial planning and analysis

Supports the annual planning process for the Wealth division, including budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans, and consolidates business unit inputs.

Partners with department leaders on budget submissions, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis explaining performance against plan.

Produces KPI reporting and root-cause analysis on AUM and net flows, fee realization, advisor productivity, client retention, and margin by channel.

Builds the bridge between organic performance and acquired contribution in consolidated reporting.

Maintains and enhances the FP&A reporting and modeling environment, including OneStream.

Strategy, reporting, and market intelligence

Prepares performance reporting and dashboards supporting monthly business reviews and Board reporting, and supports the Integrity Wealth committee process.

Monitors macroeconomic trends, industry news, and regulatory change affecting wealth management, and translates them into implications for strategy and valuation.

Conducts competitive analysis on products, platforms, and the acquisition strategies of competing aggregators and consolidators.

Performs ad hoc analysis supporting decisions on pricing, resourcing, compensation design, and capital allocation.

Develops reusable templates and model architecture for underwriting, pipeline reporting, and planning to improve speed and consistency.

Your experience and skills:

Required skills and competencies

Demonstrated ability to build three-statement and transaction models from scratch, including purchase accounting, earnout mechanics, and pro forma consolidation.

Working fluency in valuation methodology, including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, DCF, and LBO mechanics, together with a practical understanding of how capital markets conditions move private company multiples.

Expert-level Excel, including the ability to work with large multi-source data sets and to build models that others can audit and operate.

Strong analytical and problem-solving judgment, with the ability to convert complex financial data into an actionable recommendation.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the poise to present directly to sellers, advisors, and executives.

High standards of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet transaction-driven deadlines.

Self-directed, able to manage multiple concurrent live workstreams with minimal supervision.

Capacity to coach and develop others, and the credibility to have analyst-built work reviewed and improved.

Cross-functional collaboration skills and a strong commercial orientation.

Required experience and education

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Experience: demonstrated capability across corporate development, investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or FP&A with substantive M&A exposure. This capability is typically developed over four or more years of directly relevant experience.

Candidates with non-linear career paths are evaluated on demonstrated competency rather than years of tenure. Where a candidate can evidence the modeling, valuation, and analytical skills described above, relevant experience of shorter duration will be considered.

Experience directing or reviewing the work of others. Formal people-management experience is preferred but not required at hire; the role includes a defined development path into full team leadership.

Ability to work in-office full time.

Preferred experience and education

Direct, hands-on experience underwriting or executing acquisitions rather than solely supporting them.

Prior experience managing and developing a team of financial professionals.

MBA, CFA, or CPA designation.

Experience in wealth management, RIA, broker-dealer, or insurance distribution, either transacting in the sector or operating within it.
