Job Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect residents’ rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
• Empty garbage bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Collect, wash, fold, and distribute laundry as required.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and washroom essentials.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Use and store cleaning products and equipment safely.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply shortages.
• Complete cleaning checklists and required documentation.
• Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Ability to communicate in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices and infection prevention procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the role safely.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, as required.
