Bring your HR partnering expertise to a business where the workforce impact is real and visible.

At BlueCare, you will work alongside leaders responsible for services that support people and communities across Queensland. Your advice will help build capable, engaged teams and turn workforce priorities into practical action.

As an HR Business Partner, you will provide strategic and tactical support to senior leaders while connecting BlueCare with the broader People and Culture function. You will bring insight, constructive challenge and sound judgement to workforce planning, change, leadership capability and complex people matters.

Please note, this is a six-month fixed-term position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you too. This role supports hybrid working by agreement.

Your part in our UnitingCare team

  • Partner with fellow HR Business Partners and People & Culture colleagues to deliver key organisational priorities, including leadership capability initiatives, workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and strategic workforce programs.
  • Support leaders to embed the significant change delivered through transformational programs of work, most recently the United & Stronger in Our Homes transformation in our Residential Aged Care stream, helping teams adopt new ways of working and realise the intended benefits of change.
  • Use workforce data and trends to provide insight, identify risk and support evidence-based decisions.
  • Contribute to major workforce and industrial relations priorities, including Enterprise Agreement bargaining, organisational change initiatives and business-led projects across BlueCare.
  • Roll up your sleeves and provide practical, hands-on HR partnering support across a broad range of people matters, balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing People & Culture team, responding to emerging business needs and helping deliver outcomes that strengthen capability, engagement and performance across BlueCare.

What makes a difference for us?

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a relevant field or relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in a comparable HR partnering role, providing strategic and tactical advice to senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing HR initiatives and programs and supporting complex change.
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking and the ability to work through complex workforce issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of end-to-end HR processes, employment legislation, policy and internal controls.
  • Confidence to satisfy relevant probity checks, including a Nationally Coordinated Police Check and evidence of Right to Work in Australia.
