Your Team

Our UK Investment Operations team is responsible for running, controlling and improving the investment services IG offers to UK clients through our award-winning fintech trading and investment platform. This includes share dealing, Stocks and Shares ISAs, SIPPs and IG Smart Portfolios.

Our share dealing business is growing, and as Investment Operations Assistant Manager you will play a key part in supporting that growth. Working alongside the Investment Operations Manager, you will help keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly, accurately and in line with FCA requirements.

The role sits at a crossroads between product, client experience, compliance, asset servicing and technology. You will act as the bridge between these groups, making sure operational requirements are understood, changes are coordinated, and nothing falls between the cracks.

Your role in the Team's Success

Day-to-day operations

• •Supporting the daily running of our share dealing and investment operations
• •Supporting the processing of corporate actions
• •Monitoring client interest and operating incentive payment controls
• •Data analysis on client incentives and performance
• •Maintaining up-to-date procedures and process documentation, ensuring the team operates to documented and controlled standards

Operational support process improvement and automation

• •Identifying manual steps that could be simplified, automated or made more robust
• •Helping make sure system changes are specified, built and tested correctly, with no regressions to trading or investment workflows

ISA, SIPP and regulatory reporting

• •Preparing reporting and management information for our ISA committee
• •Supporting ISA operational processes, including subscription monitoring and transfers
• •Supporting SIPP administration alongside our SIPP administrator
• •Monitoring regulatory developments and helping assess their impact on our operations

Client experience and operational support

• •Acting as a point of operational expertise for our client experience teams, supporting queries across share dealing, ISAs, SIPPs, Smart Portfolios and incentives
• •Acting as the senior escalation point for complex client queries and complaints relating to share dealing operational processes, with a clear focus on good client outcomes
• •Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, including Compliance, Risk, Finance, Dealing, Legal and Account Management

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential

• •Experience in an operational or customer-facing role, ideally within a UK fintech, broker, investment platform or wealth manager
• •An understanding of the UK share dealing environment, retail investing and online wealth management
• •Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• •Strong control mindset, with experience of operating and evidencing first line controls and supporting audit or regulatory reviews
• •Strong analytical ability and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and turn it into clear recommendations
• •Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data or reporting tools
• •Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain investment and product topics to non-specialists

Nice to have

• •Subject matter expertise in SIPPs
• •Subject matter expertise in Stocks and Shares ISAs
• •Experience of ISA reporting
• •Experience of SIPP administration
• •Previous customer-facing support experience at a share dealing platform, SIPP administrator or Stocks and Shares ISA provider
• •Knowledge of corporate actions and trade settlement
• •Data and dashboarding skills, for example Tableau, Looker or similar tools
• •Experience using AI tools to automate or improve operational processes
• •Experience of process improvement, automation or change delivery within an operations function
• •A relevant professional qualification, such as the CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent
