SUMMARY:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled System Support Administrator with around 1 year of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IT support, system troubleshooting, basic networking, and user administration. Candidates who have completed relevant IT courses or certifications and are looking to grow their career in system and network administration are encouraged to apply.
The candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support, maintaining IT systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with network and security-related tasks.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred., Relevant certifications and practical experience may also be considered.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
1 to 2 years of experience in IT Support, System Support, Desktop Support, or a similar role.
Good understanding of Windows operating systems and basic troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewalls.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, printers, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with user account and access management.
Basic understanding of antivirus, endpoint security, and system updates.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to document technical issues and resolutions clearly.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
CERTIFICATIONS:
CompTIA A+
CompTIA Network+
Microsoft Windows / Microsoft 365 Administration
CCNA or basic networking certification
Linux Fundamentals / Linux Administration
IT Support / System Administration courses
Any other relevant IT infrastructure or networking certification
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity-related issues.
Diagnose and resolve common desktop, laptop, printer, application, and operating system problems. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and IT hardware.
Set up computers, user accounts, email accounts, peripherals, and other IT resources for new and existing employees.
Perform routine system updates, software installations, patches, and basic backups.
Monitor system health and performance and escalate complex issues when required.
Assist with the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, access points, and firewalls. Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity issues.
Assist in maintaining basic network and endpoint security, including antivirus, firewall, VPN, and access-control configurations.
Manage user access and permissions in accordance with company policies.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets, systems, and software licenses. Maintain proper documentation of support tickets, technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
Follow IT security, backup, access-control, and data protection procedures.
Coordinate with senior IT/System Administrators or external vendors for issues requiring advanced technical support. Provide basic guidance and training to users on IT systems, applications, and security best practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
1 to 2 years of practical IT/System Support experience. Strong interest in System Administration, Networking, and IT Infrastructure. Willingness to learn and work with new technologies. Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Responsible, proactive, and customer-focused approach. Candidates with relevant courses, certifications, labs, or hands-on projects will be considered positively.
