About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading organization within the Consumer Health sector, is seeking a commercially minded Key Account Manager to accelerate growth across its Oral Health Care portfolio in Cameroon.

This opportunity is ideally suited to professionals from the FMCG industry who have built their careers managing key accounts, distributors, wholesalers, modern trade customers, and route-to-market execution. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving sales growth, expanding market penetration, strengthening customer partnerships, and ensuring excellence in commercial execution across the territory.

You will work closely with distributors and key customers to deliver sustainable business growth, maximize market share, and execute customer strategies that drive long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales, profit, and market share objectives across the assigned territory.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with distributors, wholesalers, key accounts, and retail partners.
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes and customer negotiations to drive mutual growth.
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution, improve product availability, and increase market penetration.
  • Drive excellence in in-store execution, merchandising, promotional activities, and visibility initiatives.
  • Support successful product launches and category growth through effective customer activation plans.
  • Manage sales forecasting, inventory planning, and distributor performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Optimize pricing strategies, trade spend investments, promotional effectiveness, and return on investment.
  • Monitor competitor activity, consumer trends, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to deliver business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 5-8 years of commercial sales experience within FMCG, Consumer Health, Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, Personal Care, or a related fast-moving consumer industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing distributors, wholesalers, and key customer accounts.
  • Strong understanding of route-to-market strategies, trade execution, and channel development.
  • Proven success delivering sales growth, market share gains, and commercial targets.
  • Experience working within Cameroon or broader Central/West African markets would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to pharmacy, healthcare, or consumer health channels is beneficial but not essential.
