At Bavarian Nordic Berna GmbH, 215 colleagues across Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Process Development, Engineering and Supply Chain work closely together to produce vaccines that help save lives worldwide.

We are looking for a Lab Technician QC Microbiology to join our Quality Control department on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

Your team

You will join a talented and collaborative microbiological quality control team that works closely with Production, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain.

Our team brings together experienced colleagues and newer team members, creating an environment where everyone can learn from one another. We value team spirit, share our knowledge and support each other in our daily work.

Your responsibilities

In a dynamic laboratory environment where high standards and continuous improvement go hand in hand, you will:

  • Perform microbiological analyses in compliance with cGMP regulations.
  • Support method validations and scientific studies.
  • Accurately document all activities in accordance with cGMP requirements.
  • Maintain and handle laboratory equipment and tools responsibly and in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Contribute to improvement projects that enhance our processes and efficiency.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a motivated colleague who brings:

  • Completed vocational training, ideally as a biology or chemistry laboratory technician.
  • Hands-on experience with microbiological testing in a regulated GxP environment.
  • Strong team spirit and a structured, independent approach to work.
  • A careful, safety-conscious and reliable approach to laboratory activities.
  • The ability to quickly learn analytical methods and electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written German. Basic English skills are an advantage.

What we offer

You can expect a dynamic and adaptable working environment that supports your personal and professional development. You will be part of a supportive team and contribute to work with a clear purpose: helping protect lives through vaccines.

This is what our BN DNA core value, “Persistent Pioneer,” means in practice: bringing a pioneering spirit to everything we do. Whether you bring broad experience or a background in science or a related industry, you will have the opportunity to help shape this next stage of our growth.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary.
