The EMEA Lending Solutions team supports clients through a suite of loan management and administration software and services. The team works collaboratively across sales, pre-sales and product development, valuing adaptability, proactive client engagement and shared accountability for delivering high-quality outcomes.

The Impact:

As a Junior Sales Specialist, you will contribute to revenue growth by expanding our presence in Italy and across the wider EMEA market. You will identify new business opportunities, develop trusted client relationships and take accountability for delivering individual and team sales targets while connecting your day-to-day work with S&P Global’s broader purpose and values.

What’s in it for You:

You will gain exposure to regional fund administrators, independent agents and other market participants across the EMEA financial sector. Through close collaboration with sales, pre-sales and product colleagues, you will deepen your knowledge of lending technology, private credit and client workflows while building your commercial capabilities and benefiting from ongoing learning and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Research the market, identify prospective clients and pursue new business opportunities across Italy and the wider EMEA franchise, travelling to meet prospects when required.

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, actively listening to understand their priorities and tailoring sales strategies to their business needs.

Present the features and benefits of our Lending Solutions offering, partnering with pre-sales colleagues to deliver clear and compelling product demonstrations to varied audiences.

Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, negotiate mutually beneficial agreements and take accountability for achieving or exceeding defined sales targets and delivering sustainable revenue growth.

Collaborate with product development and other internal teams to communicate client requirements, market trends and competitive intelligence.

Represent the company at relevant industry events and provide timely and accurate sales updates to management.

All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have experience in driving the sales of our loan management and administration software and services in Italy and across regional fund administrator and independent agents.

Fluency in Italian and English.

Knowledge of loans, Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), data rooms and private credit.

An understanding of the loan management and administration software and services industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen actively, understand different perspectives and explain technical information clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

The ability to deliver compelling presentations and partner with pre-sales colleagues on product demonstrations for diverse audiences.

Effective negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

A self-motivated and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively under general guidance, contribute to team goals and take accountability for individual and shared targets.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the resourcefulness and adaptability to assess available information, resolve varied issues and propose appropriately tailored solutions.

Effective time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise work according to urgency, importance and commercial impact while meeting agreed timelines and quality standards.

Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.

We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working alongside sales or client-management teams within lending technology, financial software or related services.

Familiarity with regional fund-administration workflows and independent-agent networks across the EMEA market.

A track record of collaborating effectively with product, pre-sales and other internal stakeholders to improve sales outcomes and contribute to wider team objectives.

Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to development, including using previous experience and new information to improve existing approaches, generate ideas and identify opportunities for greater quality or efficiency.
