Summary

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist within the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Division within the Material Management Division, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Headquarters, of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA.

Duties

  • You will provide participating Resource Manager type services and participates in all phases of Integrated Logistics support (ILS) to accomplish the outfitting and follow-on supply support of the MHE end items.
  • You will assist in negotiation and development of contractors specific provisioning, technical documentation, delivery and scheduling requirements and follow-up on all stages of procurement and delivery to verify that customer needs are being met.
  • You will evaluate introduction of new equipment into the program to ensure the required support of onboard infrastructure is in place.
  • You will be the focal point for shipboard matters related to the program and make best value decisions by obtaining and objective evidence to ensure that equipment replacement is based on the optimum economic relationship of capital investment.
  • You will Maintain records of the type, kind and quantity of equipment to meet prescribed afloat activity needs. Maintain allowances by ship and processes Allowance Change Requests (ACRs), and sign approval/disapproval letters.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience includes managing or supporting integrated logistics functions for material handling equipment or comparable military/industrial equipment, including acquisition, initial outfitting, provisioning, lifecycle support, inventory accountability, and disposal. Experience must demonstrate the ability to coordinate Integrated Logistics Support activities; develop procurement, funding, delivery, and milestone schedules; and evaluate equipment replacement, modernization, or service-life-extension requirements. Qualifying experience also includes maintaining equipment allowances, asset configurations, and property-accountability records; processing allowance changes; and ensuring inventory accuracy within enterprise asset-management systems. Applicants must be able to analyze customer and fleet requirements, prepare program documentation and cost estimates, and coordinate effectively with program offices, ship-construction activities, engineering organizations, logistics commands, contractors, and fleet stakeholders.
