WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will work with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. Internally, this role is part of Nike India operations team and partner closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Nike Stores, Marketplace Supply chain, Technology, Finance and Planning team. Externally, this role will require close partnership with Nike’s wholesale partners and Third party Logistics Partners.This role will report to the Logistics Manager and will be based out of Bangalore.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced logistics professional with expertise in inventory management, transportation operations, and 3PL partner management. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end order fulfillment operations, drive inventory accuracy, service excellence, and cost efficiency, while managing key performance metrics, SLAs, and partner governance.

This role requires a proactive and analytical problem solver who can work independently, navigate operational complexities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and logistics partners. The successful candidate will ensure seamless execution across the supply chain to deliver an outstanding consumer experience and support the growth of Nike India operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation management.
  • Proven experience managing 3PL-operated warehouses and transportation providers.
  • Strong knowledge of Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Transportation Planning, and Distribution Management.
  • Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems(OMS), Warehouse Management Systems(WMS), Transport Management Systems(TMS) and SAP
  • Experience managing KPIs, SLAs, operational performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to analyze logistics costs, identify cost savings opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail, an aptitude for process, and a hunger to continuously learn and grow.
  • Ability to work as strong team player within a diverse group.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and continuously evolving environment.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Own day-to-day Order fulfillment operations with Third Party Logistics(3PL) partner and transportation partners, balancing service, capacity, delivery performance, and cost.
  • Align distribution-center capacity, delivery planning and scheduling, and performance expectations with internal cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Facilitate conversations and lead supply chain performance, KPI & SLA reviews with 3PL partner that drive operational excellence.
  • Manage inventory governance across partner-operated warehouses, monitor inventory accuracy, stock integrity, inventory aging, shrinkage, and cycle count performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for inventory discrepancies.
  • Drive inventory optimization initiatives to improve stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Partner with 3PL partner to ensure compliance with inventory control processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Develop and maintain inventory performance dashboards and reporting
  • Manage transportation partners to ensure achievement of agreed service levels and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor key transportation metrics including Ontime Delivery performance, Delivery accuracy, Proof of Delivery,Claims settlement and Freight Cost per unit.
  • Conduct transportation network reviews and identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
  • Lead carrier performance reviews and establish corrective action plans for service failures.
  • Support peak season planning and transportation capacity management.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with 3PL partners and transportation providers.
  • Track and improve agreed KPI and SLA performance through structured governance.
  • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations.
  • Ensure logistics partners comply with contractual obligations, operational standards, and service requirements.
  • Is accountable for projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Responsible for development and management/administration of all policies and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods.
  • Applies best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes, or services.
