Job Description
About BD Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS)
BD Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) provides a broad portfolio of products and solutions that support medication delivery, vascular access, and catheter care across the patient journey. In Japan, MDS is focused on advancing infusion therapy practices and improving outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Marketing professional to drive portfolio growth across infusion therapy and catheter care and maintenance. The role combines direct ownership of strategic projects and commercial execution with responsibility for managing and developing up to two Product Managers.
In addition to managing the existing product portfolio, the Marketing Manager will personally lead end-to-end launches of globally available products not yet introduced in Japan—from opportunity assessment and strategy development through cross-functional alignment, execution, and performance tracking. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across Japan, APAC, and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead New Product Launches: Own end-to-end launch planning and execution, including market assessment, value proposition development, launch readiness, stakeholder alignment, and post-launch performance management.
Drive Portfolio Growth: Identify and capture market opportunities that accelerate adoption, revenue growth, and the overall performance of the MDS Japan portfolio.
Lead Cross-functional Execution: Partner with Sales and relevant functions to translate strategy into coordinated market development and commercial initiatives.
- Develop Strategic and Commercial Plans: Lead annual operating plans and three- to five-year portfolio strategies, working with the Marketing Director to define sustainable growth priorities.
- Align Regionally and Globally: Work with APAC and Global marketing teams to align portfolio strategy, evidence needs, launch priorities, and execution plans for Japan.
- Manage Commercial Performance: Own marketing budgets, pricing recommendations, sales forecasts, performance tracking, and corrective action plans for assigned portfolios.
- Shape the Market and Engage Customers: Develop market-shaping initiatives and build trusted relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, and sales teams to strengthen the value proposition and support clinical adoption.
- Develop People: Directly manage and develop up to two Product Managers by setting clear business and individual objectives, defining roles and accountabilities, and providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Guide the team in strategy development, stakeholder alignment, problem-solving, and disciplined execution to deliver business results.

Up to 30% travel for customer visits, field engagement with sales teams, and participation in conferences and industry events.
