Description

Marketing Specialist

KWB Wealth | Redlands, CA (on-site) | Full-time | $60,000–$85,000 + bonus

Reports to: Marketing Director

This is a chance to grow your career and take real ownership of your work. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Director and Creative Art Director and learn how marketing drives growth at a wealth firm. You’ll be responsible for driving campaigns, referral programs, events and digital touch points and see the business impact of your work.

After 30 years built on trust and referrals, we’re continuing to invest in the client experience, deepening relationships with our clients’ families, and growing our digital presence. Your ideas will help shape what comes next.

This is more than a job - it's an opportunity to join a mission-driven firm where your work directly contributes to clients' success, the team's growth, and the legacy we are building together

How To Apply: Send your resume, a cover letter for why you think you'll be a great fit, and a one-paragraph summary of a program/initiative you owned/support and what it achieved.

Who you are

  • Driven and ambitious. You want to stretch, take on more, and grow your career.
  • Independent and quick to learn. You pick things up fast, take initiative, and keep work moving without needing step-by-step direction. When you’re stuck, you come with options and a recommendation, not just questions.
  • A versatile marketer. You’ve worked across several channels, such as email, events, social and content, and you’re ready to own campaigns and programs, not just support them.
  • Focused on impact. You turn data into insights and use them to make the next campaign better.
  • Warm and polished with people. You enjoy being a face of the brand, whether you’re greeting a client in our office or hosting an event.

Responsibilities

Note - The responsibilities below reflect the full scope this role may cover overtime. Not all will run at once; priorities are set with the Marketing Director and shift with the firm’s needs.

Campaigns and programs

  • Identify, propose and own marketing campaigns and programs that support business goals, such as client retention, referrals, new-client growth and brand awareness.
  • Run campaigns/programs end to end: define the goals, audience, scope and budget, then execute across the right channels (email, paid, social, events, print), tracking progress and reporting on results.

Client experience and recognition

  • Develop and roll out initiatives/materials that improve the client experience and encourage referrals.
  • Manage client recognition, including birthday calls, thank-you letters, anniversaries and gifting (sourcing, inventory and reordering).
  • Be a warm, welcoming first point of contact for clients visiting our Redlands office.

Events

  • Own end-to-end KWB Wealth Annual Charity Golf Tournament, ensuring strategic planning, smooth execution, achievement of fundraising and sponsorship goals, and timely post-event reporting.
  • As our events program expands, own client appreciation and educational events/webinars - responsible for successful planning, execution, measurement and reporting; manage event promotion via web, email and other channels where necessary and develop written content.
  • Identify strategies to improve events and business impact.

Email

  • Help support email strategy and campaign development; identify and propose email campaigns to support business retention and growth.
  • Plan, write and send email campaigns in Constant Contact (or similar email platforms); Clean up and maintain Constant Contact email lists.
  • Manage and coordinate client facing emails including the Quarterly Newsletter, Weekly Market Commentary and other content where necessary.

Website

  • Develop website content ensuring it is always up to date and positions the firm in the best light possible; Make recommendations to improve overall website experience and in alignment with company goals.
  • Take ownership of content updates where necessary.
  • Manage the blog end to end, including the content calendar, coordinating posts from advisors, agency partners or our team, editing, compliance review and publishing on the website.
  • Support SEO/AEO efforts to grow our online visibility.

Social Media

  • Manage social media strategy, content, posting and reporting across key channels - LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X; Recommend ways to optimize social media strategy and optimize content based on performance; Coordinate with relevant team members to share their insights and expertise through social channels.
  • Manage social media content calendar.

Research, Insights & Reporting

  • Build out reporting across key marketing touch points, including marketing programs/campaigns, email, website, events, social media, and others as needed, identifying key insights, takeaways and recommendations.
  • Research competitors and market trends as needed, including how other firms market themselves, their messaging, content, events and digital presence, and turn the findings into recommendations.

Team Collaboration

  • Own the integrated marketing calendar ensuring marketing activities are appropriately scheduled, and the calendar is up to date.
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members where appropriate, including Creative Art Director, Client Experience Manager, Client Relationship Manager, and financial advisors.

Brand Management

  • Work with the Creative Art Director to develop and maintain marketing materials (E.g., brochures, presentations, one-pagers) and ensure all marketing touch points are on brand; ensure the brand remains relevant, competitive and unique; make recommendations on brand updates where appropriate.
  • Work with compliance to ensure all marketing materials comply with financial industry regulations
