Master Scheduler

The Master Scheduler creates and manages production schedules to make sure customer demand, materials, inventory, and production capacity are properly aligned. The role works closely with Demand Planning, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure products are made and delivered on time. The Master Scheduler also monitors production schedules, identifies potential issues, coordinates solutions, and helps improve planning, inventory, and overall operational efficiency.

About the job:

• •Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule based on customer demand, forecasts, inventory, materials, and production capacity. Adjust schedules as needed to meet changing requirements and ensure all manufacturing areas are properly aligned.
• •Analyze production capacity, labor, equipment, and other constraints. Identify bottlenecks, adjust production schedules, and work with Operations to maximize capacity and meet production and customer requirements.
• •Work with Procurement and Materials Planning to ensure materials are available for production. Monitor shortages and supply issues, prioritize production needs, and coordinate solutions to avoid delays.
• •Monitor production against the schedule, track performance, identify delays or issues, and take corrective actions. Support regular production reviews and escalate risks that may affect deliveries or production.
• •Participate in SIOP meetings, review forecast changes, and assess their impact on production schedules. Provide planning recommendations based on capacity and inventory, support demand scenarios, and ensure production schedules remain aligned with approved demand plans.
• •Monitor inventory levels and adjust production plans to maintain the right stock levels. Balance inventory with customer needs while reducing excess inventory and the risk of stock-outs
• •Reporting & Performance Management
• •Prepare and maintain KPI reports and dashboards to track scheduling and production performance, including schedule attainment, schedule adherence, OTD, fill rate, capacity utilization, and past-due orders. Analyze performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to planning and scheduling.
• •Work closely with Operations, Production, Procurement, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to coordinate schrvice, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to coordinate schedules, priorities, and supply risks. Lead scheduling discussions, support new products and changes, and handle production scheduling issues and escalations
• •Improve scheduling, planning, and inventory processes by applying best practices and optimizing ERP/MRP systems. Maintain standard procedures, ensure compliance with company guidelines, and support training and knowledge sharing across teams.

About you:

• •Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
• •Experience: 5+ years in production planning, master scheduling, supply chain, SIOP, or manufacturing.
• •Systems: Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or JD Edwards.
• •Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of production planning, MPS, MRP, capacity and inventory planning. Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and data reporting is an advantage.
• •Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
