Medical Assistant Resident Cardiology

Job Description:

A Medical assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. This will involve caring for patients with acute and chronic needs. A Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions. Shift Details : 40 hours/week, Full Time. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Schedule can be either 4 days/10 hour shifts (7:00am-6:00pm) or 5 days/8 hour shifts (7:30am-4:00pm).

Prior experience with EKG's is preferred. ***The candidate selected for this position will be primarily located at our Park City and Heber locations. However, due to clinic coverage needs and provider schedules, there may be rare occasions that traveling to work in our Salt Lake area clinics will be required.

As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:

• •Providing Patient Care: Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient’s visit and condition.
• •Effective Communication: Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
• •Team Collaboration: Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care. Attention to detail and follow-through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Medical Assistant Resident

Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

Medical Assistant

• •Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date.
• •Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program
• •Or 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience
• •Or current RN/LPN license

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
