Mill Operator

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Mill Operator to join our team at our St. Louis, MO Milling location. A Mill Operator is responsible for the overall operations of the milling department and employees.

Responsibilities:

• •Directly oversees and monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
• •Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility's production
• •Facilitate maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime
• •Ensure the mill is organized and clean at all times
• •Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
• •Make sure all production personnel follow SOP’s, GMP’s, OSHA and HAACP guidelines at all times
• •Will be required to maintain documentation of a variety of activities and inventories. These may be either on a paper format or electronic format
• •Must learn and execute basic equipment maintenance to improve production reliability
• •Make recommendations for line efficiency and productivity improvements
• •Communicate effectively with other supervisors in mill, maintenance, packaging and loadout departments and assist when needed
• •This role requires regular presence on the plant floor, requires lifting up to 50 lbs

Qualifications:

• •Previous flour milling experience required
• •Bachelor of Science, Milling Science and Management or IAOM Correspondence Course completion
• •Ability to communicate effectively
• •Must be comfortable using a computer and able to learn new software for production
• •Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays required
