About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Houston TX. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• •Modify electric motors per customer specification.
• •Produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.
• •Work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues.
• •Be proficient enough with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.
• •Work in conjunction with the warehouse team to insure proper placement of modified motors in inventory.
• •Support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects.
• •Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge / training:

• •Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motors.
• •Ability to handle manual and power tools.
• •Understand and follow safety procedures.
• •Familiar with modification procedures.
• •Familiar with the inventory control system.
• •Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• •Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements.
• •Strong mechanical aptitude.

Experience:

0 - 5 years of related experience.
