Do you want to work where technology, delivery, and real business needs come together?
Join a strong tech team in Arenastaden, closely connected to Kungsträdgården and the London office, and work in a complex financial landscape where technology, business, and product development meet. In close collaboration with the business and product organization, you will help develop financial systems, influence future solutions, and support Derivatives Clearing with sustainable technology, today and tomorrow.
About this role:
As a Solution Developer, you will be part of a team responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining business solutions within Derivatives Clearing. You will work in an established product landscape where long-term stewardship, continuous improvement, and new development are equally important. This includes turning business needs into modern technical solutions and contributing analysis, problem-solving, and domain understanding, not simply implementing predefined technical requirements.
You will join a team of ambitious and creative colleagues, working primarily with back-end solutions in a .NET/C# environment, with Python and other technologies used where relevant. You will also contribute to our future client-facing portal, Business Arena. The role spans existing and new solutions, including integrations between internal systems, vendor platforms, and external services. You will develop a broad understanding of the wider system landscape and how its different solutions interact, working closely with product owners, business specialists, our Solution Architect, and other stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Work closely with product management, product owners, business specialists, and users to understand and constructively challenge business needs
Analyze business requirements and translate them into sustainable technical solutions that create measurable value
Develop, improve, and maintain both existing and new business systems and integrations across internal, vendor, and external services
Contribute to the quality, stability, and long-term evolution of our solutions, while supporting the adoption of microservice-based and cloud-native architecture where it creates clear value
Apply modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development where relevant, to support quality and efficient delivery
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
To thrive in this role, you are an experienced, solution-oriented developer with a strong foundation in modern software development and a drive to understand the business behind the systems you build. You enjoy moving between analysis, dialogue, and implementation, and you are comfortable working closely with business representatives, product owners, and users to turn complex needs into robust solutions. You can take a holistic view of the system landscape and assess the wider consequences of technical decisions.
You communicate clearly, thrive in collaborative teams, and are genuinely curious about financial markets and business processes. You bring solid skills in C# and .NET / .NET Core, with hands-on experience in Python, GCP, SQL Server, and REST APIs. Experience with cloud-native architectures, containers, observability, or Angular is a plus. Experience of financial systems; banking, capital markets, trading, clearing, or insurance; integration-intensive environments; or complex business-critical systems is highly advantageous. An interest in, or experience of, the financial domain is a significant benefit.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, agentic development, or similar modern ways of working is also advantageous. We see AI as a practical tool for creating business value, improving quality, and enabling more efficient delivery, not as an objective in itself. A positive mindset, sound judgement, and an eagerness to learn and contribute to SEB’s continuing AI journey are essential.
- What we offer:
- We offer many experiences and benefits to our employees, and there is nuance to every individual’s career experience, but the elements that define the core of our offering are:
