Job Summary

The NPI Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring the successful transition of new products from design into manufacturing. This role focuses on developing robust manufacturing processes, coordinating cross-functional projects, and ensuring that quality, capacity, productivity, cost, safety, and customer requirements are met.

The NPI Engineer works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, resolve process challenges, and identify continuous improvement opportunities throughout the product introduction lifecycle.

About your role

As an NPI Engineer, you will:

• •Lead and coordinate New Product Introduction activities, including process development, documentation, validation, release, and product transfer activities.
• •Develop and implement manufacturing systems, assembly lines, methods, process sheets, standards, and operator instructions for new products.
• •Design manufacturing process flows and support production layouts, line balancing, equipment selection, tooling, ergonomics, cycle times, and safety requirements.
• •Collaborate with Design Engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure product manufacturability and successful implementation into production.
• •Coordinate cross-functional working groups to support project execution and new product launches.
• •Develop and maintain key manufacturing documentation, including Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, visual aids, and operating documentation.
• •Coordinate engineering samples and support prototype testing and evaluation.
• •Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with new product and project releases.
• •Analyze manufacturing performance, including efficiency, productivity, OEE, downtime, quality, and cost.
• •Identify process issues and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• •Apply lessons learned from existing products and processes to prevent recurring issues during new product launches.
• •Support quality and compliance activities, including corrective and preventive actions, audit findings, deviations, and Process Change Notifications (PCNs).
• •Ensure compliance with applicable quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
• •Provide technical assistance and problem-solving support to manufacturing teams.
• •Develop and deliver technical training for supervisors, technicians, and other personnel as required.
• •Support equipment and tooling releases while identifying opportunities to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

About yo u

• •Bachelor’s degree or completed university education in Engineering or a related technical field.
• •2–3 years of experience as a Manufacturing, Process, Project, or similar Engineer.
• •Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and New Product Introduction methodologies.
• •Experience developing or working with Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• •Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple project activities.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate efficiency, productivity, OEE, downtime, quality, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• •Knowledge of process control, manufacturing documentation, and compliance standards.
• •Ability to identify process improvements and implement effective corrective actions.
• •Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.
• •Ability to develop and deliver technical training.
• •Organized, results-oriented, and capable of managing priorities in a manufacturing and project-driven environment.}
