Primary Care Clinical Pharmacist (Customer-Facing)

East Anglia, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire & Surrey

Join a leading healthcare organisation driving NHS vaccination and respiratory disease improvement initiatives

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Clinical Pharmacist to join a high-profile NHS-focused team for an exciting 6-month contract opportunity. This role will play a key part in supporting the national implementation of a specific vaccination programme, alongside driving quality improvement initiatives within COPD across primary care.

This is an ideal opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys working strategically across healthcare systems, influencing stakeholders, and delivering measurable outcomes through customer engagement and partnership working.

Territory

Candidates must live within, or have easy access to:

  • East Anglia
  • Hertfordshire
  • Oxfordshire
  • Bedfordshire
  • Surrey

The Role

The primary focus of this position will be supporting the successful implementation of the National Immunisation Programme across NHS systems. Working closely with key stakeholders across Integrated Care Systems and Primary Care Networks, you will help drive vaccine uptake and optimise patient identification and recall processes.

Alongside this, you will support a Quality Improvement Programme focused on COPD, helping healthcare professionals identify, review and optimise appropriate patient cohorts.

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with pharmacists who combine strong clinical expertise with commercial awareness and customer-facing experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration as a Pharmacist.
  • Experience working at PCN or ICB level, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked extensively across PCNs.
  • An excellent understanding of how GP practices, PCNs and wider NHS systems operate.
  • Experience supporting patient search, recall and action processes, particularly within vaccination programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • Evidence of delivering against objectives, targets and KPIs.
  • Confidence asking for commitment, securing action and driving change through partnership working.
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with clinicians, pharmacists and NHS decision-makers.
  • A commercial mindset combined with a patient-centred approach.

Why Apply?

This is a unique opportunity to play a significant role in the delivery of a nationally important vaccination programme while working with senior NHS stakeholders across a large geographic region. You will have the chance to combine your clinical expertise, NHS knowledge and commercial skills to make a tangible impact on patient outcomes.

If you are a driven pharmacist with experience influencing healthcare systems and delivering measurable results, we would love to hear from you.
