The Post Trade Sales Specialist will join S&P Global Market Intelligence’s EMEA commercial organization, working closely with regional sales colleagues and specialists across Product, Presales, Marketing, Operations and Customer Success. The team brings together deep market expertise and a collaborative, client-focused approach to help financial institutions modernize critical post-trade workflows. This role will support growth across Corporate Actions Pro, Corporate Actions Core, Managed Corporate Actions and Agent Validation Service. It requires a senior sales professional who can provide strategic perspective, mobilize complex stakeholder groups and help colleagues navigate significant commercial opportunities.

The Impact:

You will have a direct impact on the growth of our post-trade business by originating new relationships, building a high-quality pipeline and closing strategic opportunities across EMEA. Your clients and prospects will include asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, investment banks, market infrastructure providers and other financial-market participants.

Operating as a senior commercial specialist, you will engage decision-makers across operations, technology, data, risk and executive leadership. You will connect changing client priorities and market trends with our capabilities, influence go-to-market strategy and identify innovative approaches that strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

What’s in it for You:

  • Take ownership of a strategically important EMEA growth mandate and lead complex opportunities from initial market engagement through commercial negotiation and close.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and C-level executives at leading financial institutions, positioning S&P Global Market Intelligence as a strategic partner.
  • Work with an integrated international team across Sales, Product, Presales, Marketing, Operations and Customer Success, gaining broad exposure to our post-trade capabilities and regional growth priorities.
  • Shape go-to-market plans by bringing client insight, competitive intelligence and a forward-looking perspective to product positioning and market-expansion decisions.
  • Play a visible leadership role by sharing expertise, coaching colleagues and supporting the development of commercial capability across the wider team.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate new business and create a sustainable, well-qualified EMEA pipeline for Corporate Actions Pro, Corporate Actions Core, Managed Corporate Actions and Agent Validation Service, with clear accountability for achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and opportunity plans covering asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, investment banks, market infrastructure providers and other priority financial-market participants.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through solution development, business-case creation, commercial negotiation and close. Build consensus among stakeholders across operations, technology, data, risk, procurement and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate Product, Presales, Marketing, Operations and Customer Success throughout the sales process, setting a clear pursuit strategy, aligning competing priorities and ensuring a consistent and compelling client proposition.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline and forecast information in Salesforce, using data and commercial judgment to prioritize activity, improve conversion and support revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity and evolving client requirements, and use these insights to inform account strategies, client conversations and go-to-market plans.
  • Represent the business at client meetings, conferences and industry events, communicating the value of our post-trade solutions to senior audiences.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy, market-expansion initiatives and overall sales performance by identifying emerging client needs, challenging established approaches and promoting innovation. Share market intelligence, coach colleagues and provide constructive guidance on complex opportunities.
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10 + years experience selling complex data, software, SaaS, workflow or managed-service solutions to asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, investment banks or market infrastructure providers. This experience should include a consistent record of originating new business, creating pipeline, managing complex enterprise sales cycles and closing material strategic opportunities.
  • Proven experience selling to financial-services organizations across EMEA, with a strong understanding of capital markets and the operating models of asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, investment banks or market infrastructure providers.
  • Demonstrated success in originating and closing new business, consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets and converting strategic opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers and C-level executives, build trusted relationships and align diverse stakeholders around a compelling commercial and operational business case.
  • Strong commercial judgment and strategic perspective, with the ability to assess market dynamics, prioritize high-value opportunities, navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions throughout lengthy and complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, including the ability to translate complex data, technology and workflow capabilities into clear client outcomes and measurable business value.
  • Proven ability to operate collaboratively across functions and geographies while retaining personal accountability for pipeline quality, sales execution, forecasting accuracy and revenue delivery.
  • A leadership and coaching orientation, with the ability to share expertise, support colleagues, encourage innovative thinking and raise commercial standards across the wider team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of corporate actions, securities processing, reference data, post-trade operations or the operating models used by major financial institutions.
  • Experience selling corporate actions solutions, managed services, workflow transformation or technology-enabled operational solutions.
  • Understanding of operational transformation, automation, data quality and risk management initiatives within financial institutions.
  • An established network across EMEA financial markets and evidence of successfully opening new relationships within complex enterprise accounts.
  • Experience contributing to regional go-to-market planning, proposition development, market expansion or product strategy through structured client and competitive insight.
  • Ability to represent the organization credibly at industry events, executive meetings and other senior external forums.
  • Additional European language capabilities, particularly German, Spanish or Italian.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and international teams in a fast-paced environment.
