The Role:

Our site in Entegris Canada - Toronto is seeking a Production Chemist/Operator to join our team. The person will be responsible for manufacturing of chemicals according to predefined procedures and within health and safety operating procedures.

What You’ll Do:

Proper use and care of equipment.

Rigid adherence to production specifications and procedures.

Strict compliance with housekeeping protocol, Health & Safety requirements.

Ensuring all required documentation is current, complete and accurate.

Working to improve your skills and those of your colleagues.

Developing and maintaining thorough understanding of chemicals used in manufacturing, production procedures and underlying chemistry.

Supporting team members with your sound understanding of safe operations in the plant.

Working 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night every month

Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills.

Strong interpersonal and team communication skills.

Strict attention to detail at all times (following procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical storage/disposal/handling).

Comfort working in an ethnically diverse working environment.

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

B.Sc. degree in chemistry or college diploma in chemical technology or a related field.

Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant is an asset.

• •Compensation: : $55,0000- $65,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role. In addition to the base salary, employees will be eligible for a 5% shift differential.
