Own daily execution of the production schedule and customer commitments
Establish clear priorities and expectations across production areas and shifts
Monitor production performance and respond quickly when results fall behind plan
Ensure strong communication and effective handoffs between shifts
Proactively communicate and escalate risks that could affect customer commitments
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment
Develop People and Build Accountability
Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and employees
Establish clear expectations and consistently follow through on commitments
Build cross training and backup coverage throughout the operation
Identify employee development opportunities and build future leaders
Create an environment where problems are identified and addressed early
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage Staffing and Capacity
Align staffing with production requirements and forecasted workload
Make thoughtful decisions regarding overtime, temporary labor, hiring, and shift coverage
Understand equipment and labor capacity and identify constraints before they affect service
Build operational flexibility through cross training and effective resource planning
Balance productivity, cost, capacity, and customer requirements when making staffing decisions
Drive Operational Performance
Review production performance and identify gaps between planned and actual results
Monitor productivity, labor utilization, quality, rework, downtime, and service performance
Use data and root cause analysis to understand problems and develop sustainable corrective actions
Identify production bottlenecks and opportunities to improve workflow and throughput
Hold the organization accountable for maintaining improvements after problems are resolved
Improve the Business
Challenge processes that create unnecessary labor, complexity, delays, or rework
Build standard work and repeatable processes
Promote Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles
Partner with office, quality, engineering, maintenance, customer service, and other teams to improve overall business performance
Look for opportunities to use technology, reporting, and automation to simplify work
Think Beyond Production
Develop a strong understanding of CFS customers, products, workflows, and business requirements
Understand how production decisions affect customer service, capacity, labor costs, and overall business performance
Participate in cross functional problem solving and business improvement initiatives
Build the ability to interpret operational and financial information and translate it into action
Develop strong working relationships throughout CFS and the broader Taylor organization
Take ownership of business challenges that extend beyond traditional production responsibilities
You Must Have:

Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
Ability to make decisions and establish priorities in a fast changing production environment
Ability to use operational data and reporting to make sound decisions
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work effectively across departments and with employees at all levels of the organization
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other business systems
We Would Also Prefer:
Five or more years of manufacturing or operations experience
Experience leading supervisors or multiple production areas
