Program Manager, Construction and Retrofits

Amazon is seeking an business oriented Program Manager for the GOES (Global Ops Enterprise Services) Infrastructure Program Management Office to support the capacity, capital planning and project execution for the continued expansion of our fulfilment network. Successful candidates will have strong level of ownership and be highly motivated individuals who have Program Management experience. The role will understand the details of an Amazon Fulfilment Center design, implementation, modelling, estimating and managing new Fulfillment Center start-up’s. This individual will support on one or more capital projects. The Program Manager will have high work capacity while being detailed oriented and agile to manage business changes and keep driving the initiatives. This individual needs to be a strong collaborator with different functional teams and people working across multiple locations.

• Key job responsibilities
• •Work with internal Amazon teams and external partners to deliver CAPEX projects and innovations.
• •Be a governance facilitator that maintains structure, procedures and standard ways of working that follow a common language for project and program delivery.
• •Develop and implement unified platform tools, information systems and leverage analytics and data visualization to support reporting and decision making process.
• •Develop, evaluate and simplify current working procedures and improve organization team structure.
• •Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision making and help requests.
• •Lead critical path schedule items and escalate to leadership on potential risks and delays.
• •Assist in engineering capacity management.
• •Ability to understand Operational processes.

Basic qualifications

• - 3+ years of program or project management experience
• - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
• - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
• - Bachelor's degree
• - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
• - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred qualifications

• - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
• - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
• - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
• - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
