Summary

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the ORDNANCE SUPPORT OFFICE of NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND, CONUS WEST DIV.

Duties

  • You will develop comprehensive quality measurement and tracking systems, ensuring compliance with governing Navy instructions and directives.
  • You will review and analyzes quality programs across the command, identifying trends, root causes of deficiencies, and recommending corrective actions to command leadership.
  • You will manage and serve as the command expert for the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Program.
  • You will serve as the subject matter expert and primary oversight authority for the command's Explosives Handling Qualification and Certification (Qual/Cert) program.
  • You will ensure all Unit/Dets maintain strict adherence to Navy Qual/Cert standards for ordnance handling, storage, and transportation.
  • You will provide technical QA oversight of an integrated, multi-functional system involving ordnance materials movement, storage, and processing.
  • You will analyze survey data, fleet feedback, and operational metrics to identify areas for service improvement.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and coordinating quality measurement tracking systems to ensure compliance with instructions and directives while analyzing programs and operational deficiencies. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring and maintaining quality measurement tracking systems to ensure compliance with instructions and procedures. Education

GS-12: N/A GS-11: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; OR An LL.M. degree in a field directly related to the position being filled.
