Job Description:

Your Impact in This Role

As a Quality Testing Technician , your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• •Assist in utilizing the Sibelco Quality system at Sibelco facility.
• •Lead in ensuring that products and services meet or exceed customer specifications.
• •Perform plant quality checks per Sibelco’s Quality Procedures.
• •Track quality performance, identify problem areas, takes action to contain any deficient material from leaving the facility and undertakes other actions to improve.
• •Assist with plant quality meetings and training of plant employees.
• •Update and maintain Quality records on a computer. Analyze data and produce reports, as requested.
• •Observe Production Line Workers’ actions to ensure sampling and testing are done correctly.
• •Perform and document in-process cullet sampling in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
• •Conduct and document incoming and outgoing load inspections.
• •Work with the maintenance personnel to ensure equipment operates efficiently to optimize product quality.
• •Wear appropriate site-specific personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
• •Understand and adhere to all company operating procedures and company safety policies.
• •Cross-trained in other plant positions, as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • •. Quality Improvement Process knowledge.
• •Core competencies in Quality Control, Testing, and Auditing, a plus.
• •Able to read and understand Procedures and Test Methods.
• •Capable of operating quality equipment (inspection tables, ovens, etc.).
• •Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• •Strong work ethic and ability to work independently, with little supervision.
• •Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• •Color vision.
• •Data entry experience.
• •Capable of using a calculator and laboratory scales and competency with interpreting numbers.
• •Basic computer operation skills (experience with Excel and Outlook).
• •Any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor
