We are looking for an innovative R&D Engineer to strengthen our efforts to develop industry-leading compressors and turbines for turbocharger applications. The successful candidate will act as a component owner within the Compressor & Turbine team and will be responsible for both aerodynamic and mechanical design, from pre-engineering and product development through to product maintenance and manufacturing support.

Your responsibilities

• •Design compressors and turbines, taking into account aerothermodynamics, mechanical integrity, and materials.
• •Be responsible for product validation and qualification.
• •Support advanced concept studies.
• •Contribute to shaping the technology roadmap.
• •Act as an internal point of contact for all product lines.
• •Coordinate with internal and external test facilities on testing and validation activities.

Your background

• •Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• •At least 5 years of experience in compressor or turbine development.
• •Solid understanding of turbomachinery.
• •Strong background in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical integrity.
• •Experience with 3D CFD tools and finite element analysis (FEA/FEM).
• •Sound programming knowledge in Python and MATLAB.
• •Familiarity with compressor or turbine testing and validation.
• •Open-mindedness and strong interpersonal skills.
• •Proven track record in compressor or turbine design, e.g., through patents or publications.
• •Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of self-organization.
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• •Fluency in English.
• •Willingness to learn German.
