The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $ 92,700 - $ 121,700 The offered salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting full-time opportunity for an automotive marketing professional to join its Marketing department. Reporting to the Manager, Toyota Retail Marketing, the successful candidate will champion effective, efficient and on-brand marketing across communication channels and customer touchpoints at the retail level. Working closely with Toyota dealers (Tier 3) and regional Toyota Dealer Associations (TDAs – Tier 2), this role will use data, collaboration and consistent execution to improve marketing effectiveness. What You’ll be Doing:
Build Dealer Digital Capabilities
- Consult with dealership sales and service marketing teams on digital marketing capabilities and best practices, including SEO/SEM, display advertising, on-page and off-page website optimization, Google tools and social media.
- Advise dealers to identify local digital marketing opportunities and recommend effective solutions.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for dealers and regions on Business Innovation initiatives, including dealer marketing performance dashboards, the internal advertising portal and the Dealer Digital Solutions program.
- Drive dealer adoption of key initiatives and support onboarding, performance measurement and action planning.
- Analyze dealer-owned website data to inform sales and after-sales marketing initiatives.
Business Impact and Field Team Partnership
- Advance regional and dealer business objectives by aligning marketing strategies and activities with measurable sales and after-sales priorities.
- Partner with field sales and after-sales representatives to identify business opportunities and develop marketing support that contributes to their objectives.
- Bring customer, dealer and market insights into cross-functional planning to prioritize actions that improve retail performance.
- Demonstrate how effective, on-brand marketing contributes to vehicle sales, service retention, parts and accessories growth, and the customer experience.
Retail Brand Governance
- Champion a customer-focused approach to retail marketing that improves business performance, the customer experience and brand appeal.
- Help dealers align advertising activities and customer interactions with Toyota brand standards through coordinated sales and after-sales planning across marketing tiers.
- Advise dealers on creative and media tactics for new vehicles, parts and service, accessories and certified pre owned, in accordance with TCI brand requirements and the Tier 3 mandate.
- Review dealer marketing capability dashboards, identify opportunities for improvement, share best practices, recommend countermeasures and track progress.
- Promote opportunities for dealers to activate TCI’s national partnerships locally, including sports organizations, athletes and trade shows.
- Recommend strategies to increase showroom traffic, strengthen lead collection and improve follow-up.
- Assess dealer omnichannel marketing approaches and support the development of integrated strategies.
On-Brand Dealer Communications
- Present Tier 1 national marketing communication plans and Tier 2 TDA plans to dealers, translating them into clear retail implications and opportunities.
- Guide dealers in the effective use of marketing resources, including AdBuilder, digital guides, Google Analytics, internal websites, digital advertising analytics and model-related communications.
- Provide learning opportunities that help dealers create effective, on-brand advertising while reinforcing TCI brand standards and purpose.
Regional Marketing and TDA Support
- Act as the regional marketing point of contact for the TDA agency representative, supporting dealer advertising templates, dealer meetings, annual planning and TDA-to-dealer communications.
- Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 activations in dealer communities, including national sports partnerships, athlete events and auto shows, while coordinating with dealers as needed.
Dealer Co-operative Advertising
Advise dealers on effective co-operative advertising strategies and compliance requirements.
What You’ll Bring:
- University degree or equivalent; a college diploma in a relevant field such as retail or digital marketing is also valued.
- Five to seven years of combined experience in marketing, retail and/or dealer relationship management. Digital Marketing experience is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and improve sales and after-sales marketing effectiveness.
- Strong presentation, consultation and persuasion skills, with the ability to build commitment in one-on-one and group settings.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to identify opportunities, foster brand alignment and adapt to evolving consumer and retail needs.
- Automotive industry experience, particularly with dealerships and sales and service operations, is a strong asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with Power BI is an asset.
- Ability to travel frequently.
- Bilingual (English & French) is required.
