Roadway Engineering Intern – Summer 2027

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern to join our Dallas, Texas office.

Your Role

• •Provide administrative and operations support to Roadway Engineering staff.
• •Assist engineers with Roadway plan production tasks.
• •Perform simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions.
• •Coordinates operation within the organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
• •Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software

About You

• •EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor’s degree program in a related technical field.
• •EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• •SPECIAL SKILLS:
• •Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred)
• •Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and willingness to learn engineering design software.
• •Interest in transportation and roadway design with a willingness to learn engineering standards and best practices.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $ 25 - $ 31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
