Sales and Marketing Executive

We’re a forward-thinking, positive marketing team at MFB, a specialist buy-to-let mortgage broker. We’ve been helping landlords since 1990, and we’re FCA-regulated with a team of around 48 people. There are currently two of us in marketing, and we’re looking for a third person to join in a newly created role that will help drive the business.

What the job really is

Roughly half your week will be spent talking to current and prospective clients: setting appointments, generating enquiries and reaching out to potential partners. You’ll make around 20 calls a day, so you need to enjoy being on the phone, talking, listening and helping people. You won’t give mortgage advice. Your job is to understand what clients need and connect them with the right broker.

The other half is marketing, and it’s varied. One day you might be editing a video, the next you might be designing in Photoshop, posting on TikTok, updating the website, pulling reports or writing case studies. The added bonus is that you’ll have a real chance to shape the role around your strengths.

Flexible by design

Our clients are landlords, and many of them are easiest to reach after work. So we can build your hours around that: later starts and finishes (up to 8pm), with a mix of working from home and in our Kings Hill office [X days a week]. We’re also happy to hear from people looking for part-time work, either compressed hours or 3–4 days a week, and we’ll adjust the workload to match.

How we work

The expectations on our marketing team are high, but we work with a learn, test, optimise and grow mindset. All ideas are welcome, and you’ll get the support and training you need. You’ll report to our Head of Marketing. We’re hiring for communication, phone manner, attitude, enthusiasm and potential. We can teach the rest.
