Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking a bilingual (English & Spanish) Sales Development Specialist to support the U.S. Life Insurance Business. This role is key in driving sales growth by supporting agents, brokers, and field sales teams across assigned territories and accounts. Partnering with a Regional Sales Vice President, this role builds strong relationships, promotes the value of our insurance products and services, prepares sales illustrations, and provides proactive support throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, customer-focused, thrive in fast paced environments and motivated to identify opportunities that help agents meet client needs and grow business results.
Ideal candidates to be based out of our Oak Brook, IL. or Coral Gables, FL. office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide Sales-Oriented Service & Support
- Work independently and with team members with minimal guidance to build and strengthen relationships with our customers while providing sales-oriented services through inbound and outbound communications on a daily basis.
- Respond to routine external and internal inquiries related to illustration software, agent website, Pan-American Life products and the various selling systems supported by the company.
- Prepare routine sales illustrations in support of agent sales activities and new business/policy issue requirements; consult on specific non-complex cases providing guidance on product selection and marketing techniques for routine sales scenarios.
- Understand the various selling systems supported by Pan-American Life and demonstrate the ability to prepare routine illustration in support of these systems.
- Maintain individual and team sales activity database to track department activity and assist in identifying sales trends and potential opportunities.
- Create and maintain strong professional relationship with the field and with internal constituencies.
Sales Training
- Provide input regarding the development of web-based training and marketing materials regarding the company’s sales opportunities, products and services.
- Develop, administer and conduct remote training for field force individuals and groups regarding Pan-American Life products, services, website, illustrations and other sales tools. Conduct life training sessions on occasion.
Pending Sales Influence
- Proactively contact the field to help them convert pending applications and to inform them of our products, performance and services, within proper market conduct parameters.
- Follow up with the field on sales illustrations generated by us and applications submitted to us to increase their submitted and paid business with Pan-American Life.
Special Projects: Provide technical support for the sales illustration and other agent sales tools through testing, reporting of software bugs and recommending software enhancements.
Support Marketing Campaigns
- Conduct outbound calls to agents who have expressed interest in various marketing campaigns we run to attract new agents/agencies.
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator as a tool to reach out to agents who have previously worked with us but are no longer, requesting illustrations and submitting new applications.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree or 5 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- 3 years of industry life insurance experience highly preferred or previous customer service and account management experience is ideal
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Industry designations such as Life & Health License or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) are preferred
- Ability to effectively create and communicate sales concepts
- Additional advanced studies in the field as evidence by LOMA or similar studies are preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively or independently
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Solid time management and follow-up skills
- Abiltiy to quickly learn and efficiently utilize software packages
Pan-American Life Insurance Group Offers:
- Comprehensive Compensation Packages (includes base pay, annual employee bonus program and eligible for quarterly bonuses)
- For this role, base pay ranges from $58,7211 to $65,000 (based on experience), with 4% annual bonus target, and eligible for quarterly bonuses that can range from $500 to $1500
Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, 401K, Paid Time Off, and Tuition Reimbursement (etc.) are some examples. New hires are eligible for medical and dental coverage on the first of the month following 30 days of service.
