School Bus Driver/Trainer

***Candidates who are MA-Certified School Bus Trainers are eligible for up to $5000 sign on bonus***

Pay rate: $30-$35/hour depending on location/route assignments

Driver Responsibilities

Safely transport students to and from school and events

Drive assigned local routes

Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections

Maintain a clean, safe vehicle

Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff

Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Trainer Responsibilities

• •Develop a schedule to assess training needs.
• •Conduct employee surveys and interviews.
• •Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership.
• •Track and compile collected data.
• •Conceptualize training materials based on data and research.
• •Communicate training needs and online resources.
• •Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials.
• •Contact and utilize outside vendors and resources for instructional technology.
• •Test and review created materials.
• •Maintain a database of all training materials.
• •Instruct employee training and onboarding.
• •Conduct training through new materials.
• •Review employee performance and learning.
• •Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment.
• •Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• •CDL Class B (or higher) with P & S endorsements --at least 2 years experience
• •MA-Certified School Bus Trainer
• •Or willing to obtain, we provide training

Valid DOT medical card

Safe driving record

Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience

Ability to pass background check & drug screening

Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)
