Key Responsibilities

  • Own AP process through payment, working with vendors to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely payment and accurate capture of payables.
  • Partner with the VP of Finance on system implementation projects to create scalable and consistent finance operations.
  • Maintain the general ledger across multiple legal entities and clinic locations, ensuring transactions are complete, accurate, appropriately supported, and recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare timely financial statements and management reporting packages, with clear explanations of performance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Manage accounting for clinic revenue, payroll, fixed assets, leases, prepaid expenses, intercompany activity, debt, and other balance-sheet accounts.
  • Partner with revenue cycle, operations, payroll, and clinic leaders to resolve accounting issues and improve the accuracy and timeliness of source data.
  • Support acquisition accounting and the onboarding of newly acquired practices, including opening balance sheets, chart-of-accounts mapping, historical data conversion, and close-process integration.
  • Help standardize policies, procedures, and controls across the platform while identifying opportunities to automate and streamline recurring work.
  • Assist with cash reporting, lender and sponsor reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
  • Prepare or support third party preparation of use tax and property tax returns and ensure timely tax payments to appropriate jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate audit and tax support, including schedules, documentation, and responses to external advisers.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support an audit-ready environment as the organization scales.
  • Undertake special projects and provide ad hoc analysis to finance and operating leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned by management as needed as the platform scales.
