ACCIONA Energía is seeking a talented Senior Analyst, Markets to join our growing Energy Markets team.

This is an opportunity to work at the centre of Australia's energy transition, developing the analysis, models and insights that support decisions on offtake, hedging, portfolio management and future renewable energy investments.

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, Portfolio & Analytics, you'll play a key role in helping the business understand market opportunities, manage risk and optimise portfolio performance across a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets.

What you'll be doing

• •Develop market, pricing and revenue models across the National Electricity Market (NEM).
• •Analyse market trends, portfolio performance and commercial opportunities.
• •Support pricing and assessment of PPAs, hedging products and new investment opportunities.
• •Deliver reporting and insights used by executives, boards and commercial stakeholders.
• •Build and maintain data pipelines, analytical tools and reporting processes.
• •Perform scenario analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• •Work closely with Origination, Development, Finance and Asset Management teams on high-impact projects.

Required Skills and Competencies

About you

You are naturally curious, analytical and commercially minded. You enjoy solving complex problems, challenging assumptions and turning large volumes of data into clear, actionable insights.

You'll bring:

• •Experience in energy markets, market analysis, portfolio analytics, trading support or revenue modelling.
• •Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM).
• •Advanced analytical and modelling capability using Excel, SQL and Python or R.
• •Experience working with market data and translating technical findings into business recommendations.
• •A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing work that is accurate, transparent and reproducible.
• •Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
