About Opal Security:

The best security and engineering teams use Opal Security, the AI-native access platform, for real-time visibility, policy-as-code, and control over every identity, from employees to service accounts to AI agents. Companies like Databricks, Notion, CoreWeave, and Superhuman rely on Opal. Based in San Francisco, we've raised $59M from Greylock, Battery Ventures, and SVCI, and were named to Notable Capital's Rising in Cyber 2026 list by 150 leading CISOs. Our leadership brings deep security pedigree: CEO Howard Ting (previously CEO of Cyberhaven, CMO at Nutanix), CPO Sameer Mehta (Veza, Citrix), and CTO Alex Pien (Meta), among others who've built category-defining products.

The Role:

In an era of AI slop and infinite content, a well-executed, high-taste event has become one of the few things that still feels human. It's one of the few channels where a CISO can form a lasting opinion about Opal Security.

That's the job: making sure the opinion they leave with is that Opal is the leader in agentic identity.

Events at Opal are a pipeline channel, not a hospitality function. We want someone who builds them through the lens of ROI — who can tell you what a dinner cost per opportunity and which conference we should never do again. You'll inherit no calendar, no vendor list, and no precedent, which means you own the decisions and the results that follow.

Own Opal's field and experiential motion end to end as a pipeline channel

Run the booth plus activation portfolio across identity events and practitioner events

Own the dinner and intimate format program start to finish

Manage speaker operations and CFP submissions, with our technical speakers as a critical asset

Own the regional event calendar, budget allocation, and per event ROI modeling

Coordinate partner hosted and co-branded events with channel partners, tied to the channel pipeline goal

Own the event to pipeline handoff to SDRs and AEs so programs convert to opportunities

What You'll Bring:

5+ years field/event marketing in B2B SaaS, ideally security or infrastructure

Track record measured in pipeline and opportunities, not leads or attendance

Run intimate exec formats (dinners, roundtables) a CEO and investors will attend

Own budget and defend event kill/keep decisions with data

Work directly with technical speakers and translate a practitioner agenda

A point of view on scaling a field function through leverage and AI, not linear headcount
