The role requires a hands-on engineering leadership mindset. We are looking for a manager who combines strong people leadership with solid technical knowledge and who is willing to actively engage with the team when challenges arise, rather than operating exclusively through delegation.

  • Working closely with the Head of Engineering on team capacity planning and allocation across strategic projects, business-as-usual activities and technical initiatives.
  • Taking management responsibility for the team supporting the existing portfolio of applications operating across multiple European locations, ensuring effective delivery of business-as-usual activities and acting as L3 application support for the existing application landscape. This includes handling ticket and support requests according to agreed priorities and service level agreements, as well as critical production incidents requiring deep technical investigation, resolution, escalation and follow-up.
  • Coordinating application maintenance activities, including software and infrastructure upgrades, vulnerability remediation, technical corrections, stability improvements and lifecycle management.

Your profile:

  • Approximately seven to ten years of professional experience in software development and IT.
  • Around three to five years of management experience leading software development or engineering teams.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex software architectures and distributed application environments.
